Mobile Engineer – HVAC/R (Field-Based)

Job Summary
Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment across facilities in the Escanaba to Marquette corridor. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial refrigeration systems while responding to work orders to resolve issues and minimize downtime. Inspect facility interiors and exteriors including walls, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and roofing systems, documenting findings and updating Corrigo CMMS systems in real time. Support emergency call-in work as needed. Requires 4+ years of hands-on building engineering experience, Universal CFC certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on building engineering experience
- Strong HVAC/R and refrigeration troubleshooting background (commercial required)
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work across multiple sites independently and efficiently
- Universal CFC certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid driver's license required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems preferred
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, mobile systems)
- Technical schooling or apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred
