Mobile Engineer (Android)

Job Summary
Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; deliver high-quality mobile features from concept through release and ongoing support; collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA and Engineers in an agile environment; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and app store deployment processes; ensure performance, accessibility, security, and usability standards; identify and reduce technical debt to improve long-term product quality; provide reliable application support and contribute to continuous improvement across the mobile platform.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2+ years’ experience in software engineering, including native Android development
- Strong experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Understanding of mobile application architecture, engineering patterns, and release practices
- Experience working with testing frameworks, CI/CD tooling, and version control systems
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, mobile dependency management, observability, and crash analysis
- Knowledge of Agile or Lean delivery practices and collaborative product team environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Exposure to backend-for-frontend patterns and cloud platforms such as AWS is an advantage, not essential.
