Job Summary
Provide executive nursing leadership across Ohio facilities during leadership transitions, vacancies, or operational needs. Assume full responsibility for day-to-day nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, labor management, and ensuring compliance with CMS, Ohio Department of Health, and company standards. Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives while mentoring nurse managers and clinical staff. Maintain survey readiness and collaborate with administrators and physicians to implement corrective action plans. Requires overnight travel throughout Ohio, valid driver's license, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
- At least 2 years as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility
- Extensive knowledge of CMS Regulations, Ohio Department of Health requirements, QAPI, Infection Prevention, and Long-Term Care Survey Process
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly assess operations and lead teams through change
- Be willing to travel throughout Ohio
- Stay overnight when business needs require
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Be available for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support
