Job Summary
Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside settings, communicating with parts and service management as needed. Document all work on repair orders, road test vehicles, and maintain accurate inventory on the service vehicle. Inspect assigned vehicles for additional safety or service requirements, ensuring they remain clean and reporting any condition changes immediately. Mentor less-skilled technicians, comply with federal and state regulations, and participate in manufacturer training programs. Maintain accountability for dealership tools and equipment, reporting defects to management.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Report any safety issues to management immediately
- Respectfully interact closely with customers in the field
- The company is also a drug-free workplace; candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
