Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside environments, then document all work on repair orders. Communicate with parts and service management regarding inventory, additional needs, or schedule changes, and road test vehicles when required. Maintain accurate inventory and stock levels on the service vehicle, keep the truck and shop area clean, and ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly. Accept training and mentoring to advance your career, participate in manufacturer-sponsored programs, and mentor less-skilled technicians as assigned. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations including EPA, OSHA, and DOT while reporting safety issues and equipment defects immediately.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Report any safety issues to management immediately
- Respectfully interact closely with customers in the field
- The company is also a drug-free workplace; candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
