Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside settings while communicating with the parts department and service management. Maintain accurate inventory on the service vehicle, document all work on repair orders, and road test vehicles when required. Communicate immediately with management regarding additional work needs, safety issues, or equipment defects. Mentor less-skilled technicians, attend manufacturer-sponsored training programs, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Keep the service truck and shop area clean, maintain dealership-owned tools, and respectfully interact with customers in the field.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Report any safety issues to management immediately
- Respectfully interact closely with customers in the field
- The company is also a drug-free workplace; candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
