Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside settings while communicating with the parts department and service management. Document all work on repair orders, road test vehicles as required, and maintain accurate inventory and stock levels on the service vehicle. Inspect assigned vehicles for additional safety-related work, ensure the truck and shop area remain clean, and report equipment defects or safety issues immediately to management. Attain industry certifications, participate in manufacturer training programs, and mentor less-skilled technicians as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Report any safety issues to management immediately
- Respectfully interact closely with customers in the field
- The company is also a drug-free workplace; candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
