Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside environments while communicating with the parts department to secure necessary components. Maintain accurate inventory on the service vehicle, inspect assigned vehicles for additional safety work, and document all repairs on the repair order. Road test vehicles as required, mentor less-skilled technicians, and report equipment defects or safety issues to management immediately. Ensure the service truck and shop area remain clean and comply with federal, state, and local regulations including EPA, OSHA, and DOT standards. Accept training and mentoring to advance your career path while keeping abreast of manufacturer updates and technical bulletins.
Required Qualifications
- CDL
- Valid driver's license
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Keep abreast of manufacturer updates and technical bulletins
- Learn to use new information technology as it becomes available
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Report any safety issues to management immediately
- Respectfully interact closely with customers in the field
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
