Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs in shop or roadside settings, then document all work on repair orders and road test vehicles as required. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed components, maintain accurate inventory on the service vehicle, and ensure appropriate stock levels are kept. Inspect assigned vehicles for additional safety-related work, report machinery defects to management, and respectfully interact with customers in the field. Mentor less-skilled technicians, comply with federal and state regulations, and maintain a clean service truck and shop area. Attain industry certifications, participate in manufacturer training programs, and keep abreast of technical bulletins.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (implied by CDL re-imbursement program and mobile service role context)
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment
