Job Summary
Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment. Handle emergency road service calls and respond to dispatch requests for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems using advanced diagnostic tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards while maintaining industry-standard repair times. Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and source parts from trusted vendors. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including high-traffic areas, with on-call 24/5 availability.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers
- DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools
- Must be 23+
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
