Job Summary
Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and emergency roadside service for Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems using advanced diagnostic tools and hand/power equipment. Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, road test vehicles to ensure quality standards, and coordinate with vendors for parts sourcing. Take ownership of the company service truck by conducting pre- and post-trip inspections while maintaining safety compliance. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, meeting industry-standard repair times while handling heavy equipment and exposure to typical yard environments. On-call 24/5 with 40 guaranteed weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers
- DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools
- Must be 23+
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
