Job Summary
Perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment. Diagnose and adjust malfunctions in electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems using test instruments and road tests. Independently manage parts inventory, maintain company-issued service trucks, and document all findings on Repair Orders via the TRAIT application. Work with clients to assess needs and resolve issues while prioritizing concurrent tasks within standard repair times. Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months and maintain a valid DOT medical card. Variable shifts, 100% travel required, hourly base pay $29.38–$44.09.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years' experience in a related field
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI)
- Successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening
- DOT physical
- Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration
- At least 21 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work
- Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring
- Ability to accurately judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from the observer
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- 100% travel
- Variable shift
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline
- 5 years' experience in a related field
- ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification
- ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
- ASE T5 (Suspension) certification
- ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification
- ASE T7 (HVAC) certification
- ASE 608/609 certification
