Job Summary

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile field environment. Diagnose and adjust malfunctions across electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems using test instruments and road tests. Independently manage parts inventory, maintain company-issued service trucks, and document findings on Repair Orders via the TRAIT application. Work M-F with some weekends, earning $29.38–$44.09/hour plus potential commissions. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical card, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED
3 years' experience in a related field
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI)
ASE T8 (PMI) certification obtainable within eighteen (18) months
Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening
Pass a DOT physical
Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration
Valid state-of-residence driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File
At least 21 years or older
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field
Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
Ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work
Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring
Ability to communicate information in a succinct and organized manner
Ability to engage in effective two-way communication with individuals and groups
Ability to determine the type of tools and equipment needed
Ability to accurately judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from the observer
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening
