Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Technician II for on-site, customer-location service with 100% travel. Responsibilities include certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and advanced trailer repairs, welding and fabrication, working from customer sites, and serving as on-site lead/consultant on jobs. Requires strong diagnostic capabilities, safe working practices, tool proficiency, and effective communication with customers and management. Eligible for potential incentive programs; base hourly rate and potential additional compensation provided. Must operate within safety and DOT/FMCSA guidelines and maintain vehicle and documentation per company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ related experience
- ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
- ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months
- CDL-A License
- DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge
- DOT physical or valid DOT medical card
- MVR 3-year review
- Ability to lift and perform moderately heavy labor
- Ability to use hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
