Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Technician II responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and both light and advanced repairs on trailers and equipment at customer sites. Serves as lead on jobsites, conducts diagnostics and triage of complex repairs, and documents findings via Repair Orders using company tools. Requires managing parts inventory, operating a company service vehicle, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. Must communicate effectively with customers and support teams, demonstrate technical knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, air lines, lifts, engines), and pursue ASE certifications (T8, 608/609) within specified timeframes. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years’ experience in a related field
- ASE T8 (PMI) Certification within 18 months
- ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months
- CDL-A License
- Ability to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
