Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light/medium/heavy-duty vehicle repairs and diagnostics in a mobile/field environment; responsible for diagnostics, repairs, road testing, parts inventory management, and documenting findings via Repair Orders using company-issued tools and TRAIT app; requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, DOT background check and medical card, 21+ years old with valid driver’s license, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting safety and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
- Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months
- DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical
- Current and valid DOT medical card or equivalent documentation
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid state-of-residence driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File
- Possess and maintain mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform required tasks safely and effectively
