Job Summary
Mobile Diesel Technician II responsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field environment. Duties include diagnostics, electrical/Brake/Cooling System work, inspections, road testing, parts inventory management, and documenting findings via Repair Orders using company devices. Requires HS diploma/GED, 3 years’ related experience (or higher), ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, DOT regulations compliance, and valid CDL/DOT requirements. Works under supervision of a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician or higher; field mobility with client interaction and strong safety compliance. Pay ranges from $29.42 to $44.13 per hour with potential incentives; 100% travel; remote-friendly with residence in specified city/state.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of related field experience
- DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge
- ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
- valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one
- valid driver’s license and meet driving requirements
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lift, bend, climb, stand, walk)
- ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair orders
- experience with preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repair work on light to heavy-duty vehicles
