Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and exhaust components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete all DOT forms and documentation. Work extended hours including weekends and holidays in outdoor conditions with extreme heat or cold. Valid driver's license and 2+ years of federal brake inspection experience required. 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 3 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
