Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engine, exhaust, after-treatment, lift-gates, and tires. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, then repair or replace vehicle components. Open and close repair orders on a company device, obtain parts from local vendors, and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all documentation in a timely fashion. Requires 2+ years of brake and federal inspection experience, 2+ years in truck/trailer maintenance, and a valid driver's license. First and second shifts available with health, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions
- Extreme Heat/Cold /Humidity tolerance
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
