Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and after-treatment components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and complete all DOT forms and documentation accurately. Requires 3+ years of diesel/trailer repair experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays. First and second shifts available with health, dental, vision, 401K match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred
- Communication skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- Basic computer skills
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
