Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and after-treatment components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance procedures, DOT inspections, and repair orders while managing parts inventory and completing all required documentation. Obtain components from local vendors and utilize a company device to process work orders and track labor hours. Requires valid driver's license, minimum three years of diesel repair experience, and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays under extreme weather conditions. First and second shifts available with hourly pay ranging from $32 to $40.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
