Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and after-treatment components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete all DOT forms and documentation. Requires minimum three years of diesel and trailer repair experience, two years of federal/brake inspection history, and a valid driver's license. Extends hours including weekends and holidays; outdoor work in extreme heat or cold. First and second shifts available with health, dental, vision, 401K match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred
- Communication skills
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
- CDL, a plus
