Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and after-treatment components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, then repair or replace vehicle and trailer parts. Open and close repair orders on a company device, obtain parts from local vendors, and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all documentation in a timely fashion. Requires 5+ years of diesel experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work extended hours including weekends. First and second shifts available with competitive hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Minimum of 5+ years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- Basic computer skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
