Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and exhaust. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete all DOT forms and documentation. Requires 3+ years of diesel and trailer repair experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in extreme weather. First and second shifts available with competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- Basic computer skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
