Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and exhaust components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete all DOT and work documentation. Requires 3+ years of diesel repair experience, 2 years in federal/brake inspections, and a valid driver's license. Available for first and second shifts, weekends, and holidays in outdoor conditions with extreme heat or cold.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- Basic computer skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
