Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and after-treatment components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete all DOT and work documentation. Requires valid driver's license, 5+ years diesel experience, and ability to work extended hours in extreme weather. First and second shifts available with health, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 5+ years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
