Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and exhaust components. Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspections while opening and closing repair orders on a company device. Obtain parts from local vendors, manage service truck inventory, and accurately complete DOT forms and documentation. Requires valid driver's license, 2+ years of federal inspection and brake inspection experience, and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays. First and second shifts available with health, dental, vision, 401K match, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess proper tools
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- Basic computer skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
