Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and related mechanical systems at customer locations. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service, troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, air brake, fuel, and cooling systems. Complete engine, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs while utilizing diagnostic software and scan tools to identify issues. Maintain accurate service documentation and keep the company service truck organized and stocked. Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and follow all safety procedures while working independently in the field.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of diesel technician experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- CDL is a plus, but not required
- Own tools preferred
