Job Summary
Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, covering brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, and exhaust components. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and DOT inspections, then repair or replace vehicle and trailer parts. Open and close repair orders on a company device, obtain parts from local vendors, and manage inventory on the service truck. Accurately complete DOT forms and all documentation in a timely fashion. Requires a Class A CDL, minimum three years of diesel repair experience, and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays. First and second shifts available with competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience
- 1 year of performing DOT inspections
- Class A CDL
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess proper tools
