Job Summary

Visit long-term care facilities to assist physicians with dental care, maintaining clinical records through electronic medical systems and updating patient odontograms for every encounter. Efficiently pass instruments, manage patient flow including wheelchair transport, and maintain the treatment area by cleaning, isolating, and sanitizing equipment. Balance and generate daily production reports, post dental charges, and audit supply inventory to anticipate and expedite orders. Troubleshoot equipment issues, schedule preventive maintenance, and assist with digital radiograph processing while educating patients on oral hygiene. Requires 100% travel within a 2.5-hour radius and state radiation licensing.

Required Qualifications

  • High School education or GED
  • Must have own reliable transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Car insurance
  • Must have completed and passed a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test
  • Must have state radiation license or certificate
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Medical terminology experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Must be able to listen to needs of patients and doctors
  • Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Requires standing, walking, pushing and stooping on a periodic basis
  • Frequent lifting requirements vary depending upon specialty division hired for
  • Must be able to push patients in wheelchair
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to a normal range
  • Requires working under stressful conditions
  • Requires working irregular hours
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation
  • Must successfully complete a drug screen
  • Requires travel up to 100% of the time
  • Must be willing to service a 2.5 hour radius
  • Must comply with all components of the compliance program
  • Must complete training
  • Must report suspected violations of law and Company policy
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Must abide with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times

Desired Qualifications

  • Medical / Dental Assistant experience
  • Hepatitis B vaccination
