Mobile Crisis Response / SASS Counselor

Job Summary

Conduct crisis screenings, assessments, and support services for clients and families, managing a caseload that includes hospitalization deflection and post-hospitalization treatment planning. Attend 72-hour staffings and residential placement meetings while developing stabilization plans and linking clients to substitute care and community resources. Maintain continuous on-call coverage with rotating evening and weekend shifts, driving daily to hospital sites and client homes for in-home services. Provide timely clinical documentation, participate in department meetings and supervision, and collaborate with agency professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related discipline
  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 5 years supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services
  • Valid driver's license
  • proof of insurance
  • reliable transportation
  • Computer skills
  • Must work a flexible schedule
  • rotating direct on-call responsibilities
  • minimum of 2 evening shifts
  • 1 weekend shift per month
  • holiday hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters Degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related discipline
  • One to two years experience working with children and adolescents
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
