Job Summary
The Mobile Crisis Response Community Worker (MCRCW) will partner with a therapist to provide mental health services in the community, deescalating crises and assessing mental health needs. Responsibilities include coordinating services and making referrals, working collaboratively with local law enforcement, and documenting all services according to guidelines. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a calm demeanor, flexibility, efficient time management, and the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Candidates must have a high school diploma, lived experience with mental illness, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Must have lived experience of being diagnosed with a mental illness or having a family member diagnosed with a mental illness or lived experience of being formerly unhoused.
- Valid California driver’s license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.
