Job Summary
Mobile Crisis Response personnel are responsible for the assessment and disposition of crisis emergencies for the CCC Service area (Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve counties). You would respond to individuals at risk of harming themselves or others and conduct assessments to determine the best course for treatment, working closely with local law enforcement and emergency departments. Responsibilities include providing agency discharge documentation, making referrals, assisting with hospitalizations, coordinating with other agencies, and, if needed, completing the involuntary commitment process. Documentation will include Crisis Screening Assessment, PHQ-9, C-SSRS, and the Stanley Brown Safety Plan. The role emphasizes a team-based approach within a population-focused crisis intervention framework, requiring strong time management, independent work habits, client-centered care, and the ability to navigate an electronic health record system. The organization emphasizes ongoing professional development, safety planning, aftercare coordination, and maintaining the least restrictive environment while ensuring client safety.
Required Qualifications
- master's or bachelor's degree in a human services field
- Missouri Class E driver's license (Class D for IL resident)
- proof of continuous auto insurance
- acceptable driving record
- experience in mental health field preferred
