Job Summary
Provide peer support services to adult clients within Mental Health Crisis Services by sharing lived experiences to help individuals discover strengths and break down barriers to community resources. Assist clients in accessing community activities that support their goals while offering encouragement for involvement. Support crisis calls and deliver in-home peer support as needed. This non-clinical role requires a personal automobile for business travel and a clean driving record. Candidates must hold a Minnesota Mental Health Peer Specialist certification or a high school diploma/GED. Canvas Health, a non-profit CCBHC, serves clients on Medicaid across homes, communities, and clinics to bring hope and healing.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher.
- Certification as a Mental Health Peer Specialist in the state of Minnesota or by Recovery Innovations.
- This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation for business-related travel.
- Must have the ability to maintain clean driving records.
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Must have auto insurance coverage that meets the requirements set forth by Canvas Health insurance policy limits.
