Mobile Crisis Behavioral Health Counselor (LPC, LSW)

Job Summary
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health concerns using evidence-based, solution-focused practices. Deliver individual and group counseling to support mental health and well-being while providing crisis intervention and coordination for emergencies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and case managers to ensure comprehensive care, and actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in accordance with agency policies. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:30pm in a collaborative environment focused on breaking barriers to access services and promoting long-term recovery.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in counseling, social work, or chemical depenency
- State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC II/III, LICDC) in accordance with local regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds to provide client-centered care
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also seeking supervision and consultation when needed
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload, maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct
