Job Summary
The Mobile Conveyor Operator role involves safely operating a variety of heavy equipment to support daily transloading and site operations. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, both independently and with others, to ensure smooth and reliable site performance. Key duties include obtaining equipment qualifications, transferring bulk materials between trucks, railcars, vessels, barges, and storage areas following safety standards, conducting equipment inspections, reporting maintenance or safety concerns, participating in daily safety/job briefings, following written and verbal instructions, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- 2-3 years of experience operating equipment is strongly preferred
- Ability to pass classroom and field evaluations with satisfactory marks (competency verification)
- Familiarity with various cargo types and hazards related to equipment, cargo, and pedestrian safety
