Job Summary
Mobile Cleaner performing cleaning duties across designated zones with emphasis on quality control, health and safety. Responsibilities include sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, dry/wet mopping, stripping and finishing hard surface floors (manual or with power equipment), transporting garbage and supplies, cleaning glass and washroom areas (using ladders/scaffolding as needed), operating cleaning machinery, stocking cleaning solutions, and reporting major repairs. Requires knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, experience with floor maintenance machines, valid Class G license, and availability for weekends/holidays across multiple locations. Emphasis on teamwork, safety, and following procedures to ensure client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Must have valid Class G license
- Experience in performing cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
- Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items and climb ladders
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain records
