Job Summary
Mobile Cleaner at BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions. Core responsibilities include cleaning floors (sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming), dry/wet mopping, stripping and finishing hard surfaces, transporting garbage and supplies, operating cleaning equipment, cleaning glass and washroom areas, and ensuring health and safety standards. Requires experience with floor maintenance machinery, WHMIS knowledge, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, willingness to work weekends/holidays, and a valid Class G license. Emphasizes quality control, safety, customer satisfaction, and ability to follow instructions across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class G license
- Experience in performing cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
- Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items and climb ladders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff, clients, and the public
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned and in multiple locations
- Must meet security clearance requirements, where applicable
