Job Summary
Visit customer sites to identify, list, and prepare waste streams for safe onward transport, handling small containers, repacking them into larger ones, and securing them on pallets. Provide technical assistance including waste packing, collection services, and general support while maintaining accurate documentation and inspecting materials for conformity. Collect detailed information for same-day waste removal, input data into company systems, and develop load plans to segregate incompatible chemicals. Perform liquid pumping services to transfer waste from damaged containers and respond to sales enquiries with cost estimates. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to guide timeframes and volumes of packing materials. Requires a UK driving license, Monday to Friday schedule, and overnight travel capability.
Required Qualifications
- UK driving license
- Minimum HNC in Chemistry
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English
- Strong understanding of chemical hazards, including COSHH symbols, functional groups, and transport regulations
- Confident in interpreting safety data sheets
- Experience working in time-sensitive hazardous waste environments
