Job Summary
Mobile Cardiac Sonographer role with Allina Health requiring an Associate's/Vocational degree in diagnostic sonography and 0-2 years of cardiac sonography experience. The position supports a 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period) schedule with 12-hour day shifts and weekend rotations, based out of Cambridge Medical Center with 100% travel to various sites and a company car provided. Starting $10,000 external talent bonus available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound exams for cardiologist interpretation, maintaining equipment and documentation, ensuring safe patient care, and coordinating with nursing staff. Required credentials include BLS (AHA/Red Cross/in-house) and RDCS or RCS registry eligibility with board certification within defined timelines, plus a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree from a diagnostic sonography program required
- echocardiography preferred
- 0 to 2 years Cardiac Sonography experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI registry eligible upon hire
- Board certified within 6 months of hire; if working at St. Francis, must obtain certification within 1 year of hire
- Valid Driver’s License upon hire; MN and WI residents must obtain a valid license within 60 days if working in MHI Mobile Echo department
