Job Summary
Mobile Building Maintenance Mechanic responsible for field-based, hands-on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks across multiple facilities. You’ll maintain and repair lighting systems, support equipment maintenance, perform interior upkeep and repairs (furniture, fixtures, locksmith tasks), handle minor plumbing, complete maintenance tasks such as painting, perform routine facility inspections, document conditions, ensure safety and compliance with codes, and participate in ongoing safety training. The role requires independence to manage a mobile workload across sites, frequent travel within the assigned territory, and availability for on-call emergency response after hours. A strong emphasis on problem-solving, practical safety improvements, and a dynamic, multi-site field environment. Prior technical or trade training and effective communication in English are valued. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of general building maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across building systems and equipment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload across multiple sites
- Willingness to drive long distances within assigned territory
- On-call and overtime opportunities as needed
- Background, drug/alcohol, and motor vehicle record screening required
