Mobile Building Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems across assigned properties. Perform monthly inspections of mechanical and electrical rooms, including roofs, while troubleshooting facility issues and coordinating construction projects. Travel daily between sites to execute repairs, comply with safety regulations, and interact professionally with tenants and vendors. Maintain tool inventories and inform management immediately of any problems. Requires CFC training, 2 years of field experience, and ability to work at heights. Based at portfolio properties with no remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English in order to understand manuals, procedures and written instructions
- Must be comfortable in using mobile device or laptop to access work order system, building systems, and use email
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights
- Ability to climb 28 ft. ladders routinely
- This role is not a hybrid or remote role but expected to be at portfolio properties.
Desired Qualifications
- Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies and/or job related training and experience
- 2 years of field experience or equivalent technical training
- CFC training and certification or ability to obtain certification for the type of refrigerant serviced, preferred
- Continuing education in field
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently with routine supervision
- Basic computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation Systems
- Familiarity with OSHA, NEC and NFC codes and regulations
