Job Summary
Conduct preventive maintenance and repair on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building mechanical systems to ensure maximum efficiency. Perform assigned facility inspections, respond to emergencies, and maintain stock and inventory control. Recommend improvements to the preventive maintenance program and compile monthly reports on building operations. Recognize safety hazards, propose elimination methods, and comply with all applicable codes and regulations. Maintain a valid state driver's license and relevant trade certifications while wearing required PPE. Complete all required safety training and adhere to the uniform dress code. Work typical business hours with potential shift, on-call, or overtime assignments based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
- Strong background in technical aspects of HVAC equipment and systems
- Strong background in plumbing
- Strong background in electrical equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong background in overall system design and application
- Valid state driver's license
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required based on location
- Valid 'Universal' level certification for CFC and HFC-based refrigerants (EPA Section 608)
- Ability to perform work wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if required
- Ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs of equipment
- Ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices
- Ability to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- Ability to speak clearly
- Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing
- Willingness and ability to support after-hours/weekends building-related activity as required
- Must be willing and able to respond to client callbacks for regular repair and/or emergency events
- Must maintain all Federal, State, or Local licenses required for locations assigned
