Job Summary
Mobile Application Developer at Leidos will contribute to mobile and geospatial mission solutions by designing and implementing Android/iOS applications using React, integrating GIS data into enterprise web applications, and collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into technical requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of mobile platforms (Android/iOS), development tools (Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Node.js, JavaScript), experience with geospatial services, and ability to manage iterative software releases. The candidate will serve as a geospatial technology and mobile SME, participate in technical meetings with vendors, and contribute to system administration, data handling, and security mechanisms across AWS services (EC2, S3). A TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required, with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial experience (or equivalent years of experience) and a mix of GIS, UI/UX, and software engineering skills across Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments. Advanced degree is preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration with customer Enterprise teams, development of mobile applications for both Android and iOS, and delivery of secure, geospatial-enabled mobile solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of experience or 16+ years of work experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services
- Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript
- Demonstrated experience working with small teams to manage software development activities
- Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design
- Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases
- Demonstrated experience developing test plans
