Job Summary
Mobile Adoption Coordinator responsible for identifying and coordinating animals for adoptions, including scheduling behavior assessments and medical needs, arranging transport and photographs for promotion, and coordinating off-site adoption events. The role acts as an ambassador in the community, building partnerships with businesses and serving as the primary contact between ACC and the public. Duties include securing adoption opportunities at events, managing logistics for mobile adoption operations, coordinating with the Foster Team for potential foster placements, processing event paperwork, and supervising volunteers. The position requires driving a 26 ft truck through NYC streets, delivering exceptional customer service to adopters, communicating animal medical/behavior needs, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations. Fear Free certification within 30 days of hire; favorable experience with office software and Spanish language skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to drive a 26 ft truck
- minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a client facing position
- Strong computer literacy
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
