Job Summary
Conduct remote high school art instruction using online learning platforms while managing responsibilities in a virtual environment. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through strong communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrate subject matter expertise by applying current best practices tailored to diverse student learning styles. Maintain professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration, and job-embedded staff activities. Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required. Begin the 2026-2027 school year as a .5 FTE educator within the Minnesota Virtual Academy High School program.
Required Qualifications
- A current Minnesota Department of Education (PELSB) teaching license
- Proficiency in using online learning platforms and technology to facilitate instruction
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities effectively in a remote work environment
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required

- Working knowledge of the subject matter, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs
