Job Summary
Provide enrollment assistance for uninsured children and adults to access subsidized health insurance programs through the marketplace, Medicaid, and CHIP. Deliver structured patient education on coverage, conduct follow-up conversations, and offer renewal assistance. Distribute outreach materials to patients, clients, and community partners to build awareness of coverage options. Develop and attend community events to promote the organization's mission and services. Collaborate with local agencies to build referral linkages and assist in staff training sessions and group meetings. Accurately report on goal achievement and client satisfaction while implementing organizational outreach initiatives. Complete all required training programs and participate in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own transportation, current driver's license, and auto insurance
- Ability to communicate and write legibly in Spanish and English and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence
- Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet-based applications and the Microsoft operating system
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening hours
- Knowledgeable about medical terminology and human anatomy
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience working with social service or other community agencies advantageous
- Familiar with locations and services provided by local agencies desirable
