Job Summary
District Manager for Planet Fitness oversees 4-8 locations within a defined district, ensuring extraordinary member experience, operational consistency, brand standards, and facility maintenance. Responsibilities include hiring, coaching and developing Club Managers, conducting BER inspections, managing payroll, front desk operations, vendor and inventory control, and coordinating district communications. This role requires travel between clubs (70% in-clubs) and leadership to build bench strength for Club Manager positions, with the ability to step in as Club Manager when needed. Essential skills include customer service, problem solving, diplomacy, and clear communication, plus the ability to manage and develop staff across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Willingness to travel
- At least 2-3 years of multi-unit experience overseeing a minimum of four locations at once
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
