Job Summary
Multi-Media Journalist for the Sports Department at ABC4/Nexstar in Salt Lake City, UT. Responsibilities include anchoring and reporting on sports stories, shooting and editing footage, writing digital sports stories, producing content for TV and the station’s digital platforms, planning and conducting interviews, pitching relevant local stories, and delivering content that meets journalistic standards. Must be versatile, able to shoot, write, and edit, comfortable with live shots, and capable of working with a own set of equipment, lights, a laptop, and a car. Requirements include a deep knowledge of sports at all levels, fluency in English, excellent communication skills, strong on-air presence, ability to meet deadlines, and a valid driver’s license. The role covers a broad market across Utah (and parts of surrounding states) and involves both TV and digital production for local sports coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
