Job Summary
Provide direct care assisting residents in their daily activities as outlined in the customized service plan and defined through Meridian Senior Living policy and training. Maintain a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to the best interests and welfare of residents. Complete required hours of Alzheimer's and related dementia-specific training annually and obtain a Food Handlers Permit. Work the NOC 10pm-6am shift while demonstrating compassion for the elderly, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
- Must practice and promote Meridian Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles
- Previous experience working with the elderly
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Must meet all health requirements
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation
- Maintain required hours of Alzheimer's and related dementia-specific training as required by state regulations each year
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
